Ace's DINO-mite Birthday!!!

My nephew turned four this year! Though it is a wonderful time, it is also a reminder of how time flies and how old (LOL!) I am getting.

I LOVE all my nieces and nephews (see some of the little darlin's here) with all my heart, but there is a special bond that Ace and I share that always connects back to my own children. You see, when I was expecting our first son (Hudson), I kept Ace for my sister. So, you can imagine an already hormonal, baby obsessed mother-to-be toting around a little newborn with her and keeping him all day just fueled my maternal instincts and bond with Ace (not to mention the looks I got at the grocery store- LOL!!!). There is only 5 and a half months difference between Ace and I still continued to keep Ace after Hudson was born (and work as much as I could). Those kids were amazing together and sooo entertaining. Hudson (and I) learned a lot from Ace- he was always just a step a head so I would watch him and take note. They were like brothers, a fact that I was very thankful for when we were expecting our second son (Noah) because Hudson had always been around Ace so much that one more in the bunch was just an added bonus.

In more ways than one I can always see God's hand at work in our lives and am just so thankful for all the blessings we enjoy...including Ace! Happy Birthday :)The party was at Jodi's house (so proud of you!!!) and I bet you can not guess what the theme was...
Ace eats his dino chicken nuggets head first- how cute is that!
I am not sure what the kids would say was the best part of the party...the slip and slide, all the little dogs, cake and ice cream or the power rangers???This one is my absolute favorite- every mom should have a picture like this...it just shows the love and appreciation that makes everything sooo worth it!Hope you enjoyed the pictures and a little peak of my wonderful family...I am so thankful for my sisters and brother, our loving parents and in-laws that have been such a support system and refuge- love you all!!!

Now, I will have to go back through my pictures and find some of Hudson and Ace when they were little to share- they were so cute...I always kept my camera in arms reach because they were always up to something!

Whewww, talk about making you feel old...Riley's 6th birthday is this weekend and I can not wait to see The Stanfords!!!
