LA Continued: O.C. SMUG User Group :)

The O.C. SMUG meeting was wonderful, so encouraging and refreshing. I think everyone was a little shocked at the turnout of nearly 250 people (wow!) I think that says a lot about what they are doing for the photographer industry and how committed they are to creating a user focused product as well as encouraging local photographers to network and support each other! One of my favorite aspects of their approach to the SMUG groups is the fact that it is open to all photographers- not just SmugMug users!

The BONUS:
While there I had the pleasure of meeting Jasmine Star (phenomenal photographer and leader of the O.C. SMUG group) and David Jay (in addition to being among the top wedding photographers, his innovations of marketing and business models and his steadfast faith have influenced and inspired us all)!

Bobby & Lindsay Earle (awesome photographers, but even MORE awesome people- LOVE you guys!!!), Char Baiz and her husband, Joel (they are just starting out in the biz and are off to a GREAT start- welcome guys!), Dane Sanders (is there a word besides brilliant for Dane? I can think of a few others- funny, considerate and very encouraging), Becker (THE Becker!!!), two of the many great minds that make up the extraordinary SmugMug Team, Jeff Jochum and Chris MacAskill and many other local photographers of all kinds... Plus, I got to see a few of Bobby Earle's old school moves on the skateboard. All in all a pretty great night and one I will always treasure :)
