Another Reason to Smile: Support Breast Cancer Research
She has been my rock and wise counselor for years. She taught me how to be clever, appreciate sarcasm, stand up for myself, stay focused on education and to be more confident in speaking my mind. Now, there's just one more attribute to add to the list of things my big sister has inspired and encouraged me to do...get involved and contribute to something you believe in.

Private Sessions $350
Can be booked with limited availability through October 20th, 2009. Private Sessions will be held on the date and location of client's choosing (subject to availability). It will last approx. 1-1.5 hr(s) and includes the disc of images.
This October my sister, April, is participating in the Breast Cancer 3 Days in Atlanta that supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She has committed to raise $2300 by participating in the 60 mile walk! Wow- that just blows me away! Not only is it a commitment of her time and energy of the 3 days, but she has been training for this all summer. She has a full time job, is a wife and is a mother of 2 and somehow manages to keep everyone happy, fed, taxied around, train and have a smile on her face and spring (no pun intended) in her step :) ...yes, in short she is like a modern day Wonder Woman (and has the bracelets to prove it...really, I've seen them!)
I was thrilled when she called me and said the words that everyone loves to hear..."I have an idea"... We discussed different ways that I would be able to help her raise the money to contribute to her overall goal and I am so happy to be able to reveal the new packages that not only preserve family memories but that will also help touch so many lives in the process.
Just in time to get a jump on family pictures for Holiday gifts and cards (or just because), these packages could be just what many have been waiting for. Something that fits the budget and also gives back to support such a wonderful cause!

Mini Sessions $150
Held in the Atlanta Area on Saturday Oct. 3rd, 2009 and in Jacksonville on Oct. 17th, 2009. Session will be approx. 30 mins. and includes the disc of images.

To Schedule sessions, please email your desired date and location and someone will be in touch with you regarding the details!
Thank you for taking the time to read about this great event and please share it with all your friends and family- I would love to be able to show my big sis how much support is really out there and just blow right past her initial goal of $2300!!!
Whether you get involved by booking a session, donating, volunteering or participating in events such as these I strongly encourage you to do so to the best of your abilities. We have been blessed in so many areas of our lives and this is just one way to give a little back and ensure that ours and future generations have the same opportunity to receive hope, encouragement and success!

It's Finally Time to Meet...
The newest member of the brown family!!!!!
After going an entire weekend without a name and countless suggestions from friends and family (thank you all!) we are happy to announce that our new baby girl finally has the perfect name just for her! Is it Esther, Misty, Patina, Char, Ava, Greyson, Blue, Emma, Stella, Fiona, Addie, Gracie, Sukie...
Though there were many favorites and tons of suggestions only one name really stood out...Addie!
The German name means Noble and Kind which really fits her perfectly. An added bonus to the name is that it has sentimental meaning to Adam. When he was a little boy, his mom called him Addie Bear and though he hates to admit it, it means a lot to him!
So, we welcome little Addie into the Brown family where she already is fitting in quite nice. Though it is tough having a puppy she makes us stop and realize what life is all about. The kids help feed her, take her out and they all run around and play- using all their energy and then snuggling down for a loooong afternoon nap.

Best of all- she gives Noah a run for his money and really keeps him occupied now that Hudson is in school :)

I couldn't take it any more and had to take a few minutes earlier this week to start researching some names. Because the Weimaraner breed originated in Germany, that's where my search started. I made a list for Adam to look over and emailed them to him...within seconds I got an email back saying simply "I like Addie".

Real Weddings: Teah & John
The phone rang and when I answered it there was a friendly voice on the other end with a familiar soft country twang (I speak that very well!). It was Teah and she proceeded to explain her wonderful celebration that was coming up with her husband John in St. Mary's, Georgia.
She went on the share that they were already officially married in a small private ceremony but where planning an "traditional" ceremony as well. I was so excited to work with the two of them from the moment I heard her sweet voice, she was so joyous and just full of laughter.

I was so excited to work with the two of them from the moment I heard her sweet voice, she was so joyous and just full of laughter.Teah and John decided to go with a first look so they could have some special time together before the ceremony together and relax :)
I really love how special this time is for the couples because it is a moment that they share with each other and has it's own perfect place in their memories forever!
Teah had planed a beautiful waterfront ceremony at a park in St. Mary's and a fun Hawaiian inspired reception. Celebration was the main objective and she along with her family and friends pulled it off without a hitch- well, almost...except for the downpour minutes before the ceremony! But just before the wedding was to start, the sky's cleared and she walked down the aisle to the gentle sound of a strumming guitar as she had planned all along!

A quick change in plans and the bridal party walked behind Teah to help save her long train from getting too wet or muddy- it actually turned out really nice the way they were all around her to gently lay it down once she reached the top of the steps.
The ceremony was beautiful- Thank you Teah and John for allowing us to share in your very special day. We wish you all the best and much, much happiness in the future!

Saving Little Live's
Every week Animal Shelters have to euthanize many animals that have passed their time limit in the shelter without a successful adoption. This little pup just missed his last day when my mom walked into the shelter last week to pick up a chocolate lab. He was not the only lucky lil' man, she also brought home a boxer whose time was also up.
In all, last week my mom brought home 3 dogs without knowing what she would be able to do but just could not leave them there to die. Happily, my cousin Jesse and his wife fell head over heels for the lovable boxer, but so far she has been unable to find a home for the cutie you see here...
he is lovable and very sweet. A collie mix that I was really impressed with- we had a ton of family in over the weekend...in all 10 adults, 6 kids and 7 dogs! He didn't miss a beat- playing with the kids, chasing the other dogs around the yard, resting in the shade, begging for belly rubs...a really gentle spirit.
