Five Minutes with the Boys

One of the most common misconceptions of photographers can be that they have amazing images of their own children. While that may be the case with some, our boys only recently ended their phase of not wanting mommy to take their picture (oh, I've got some good ones, but the ones that I can not wait to come back out are all the pouty faces and protests...oh yes, I have plans for those- ha!)

This particular Sunday afternoon the boys where in an extremely good mood and excited about their new hat and coat they got to wear to church...so I suggested that we go take some pictures of their new clothes and just have some fun (suggested because it has to be "their idea")

Surprisingly they both said yes and where excited. Knowing this would not last long I rushed outside and adjusted the settings in the camera as quickly as possible and just started shooting...This is what we ended up with and I am so thankful for the 5 wonderful minutes they allowed me to capture their wonderful playful spirit. I didn't want to overdo it so we did what they wanted and when they wanted to move on (aka wrestle in the grass...that's what we did)
