Welcome Baby Eryn

There are some things in life that make you slow down- make you step back from the busy day to day tasks, to-do lists, etc. Something life changing, something BIG but so small and fragile that you don't want to even blink!

The moment you cradle a newborn baby in your arms is one of those things. Wow, Just Wow! 

Every. Single. Time. 

My heart melts and I am completely in love with every tiny detail!

I was so incredibly overjoyed to be able to document these special moments with Stacy and Luke. They are not only wonderful friends and parents but two of the nicest people you could ever meet. I am honored to have been there to document their wedding vows, welcome their first son (big brother, Shelton!!!) and now his new baby sister, Eryn!

Shelton and I had sooooo much fun together and I was so happy to help him earn his yummy sucker! He was so loving with baby Eryn- such a great big brother!!! I can't wait to share those precious images of him loving on his new little sister :)

Ponte Vedra Family Session

Can I just say, Wow! This is what life is truly all about- FAMILY :)

When Parker and I began planning this session I could hear the excitement in her voice! It's so special when grandparents, siblings, cousins and grandchildren can all be at the same place at the same time... and to have that documented with a fun photo session is just icing on the cake!

I have the absolute best memories growing up with my brother, sisters and cousins. As we grew and started our own families, we just became closer. I saw that immediately with Parker's family as well- so much LOVE! I especially enjoyed watching the kids play in the sand and ask for more and more pictures of them together with their cousins :)

And it's so easy to see how it became that way- with a wonderful Mom and Dad leading the way :)

I have to say, you all were such a sweet family and a blessing to work with! Thank you all for inviting me to be a part of this great time in your lives, I hope you enjoy the images and that they will forever be a treasure for all! xoxo :)

Welcome Baby Connor!

There's very little in life that compares to the pure joy a newborn baby brings- but being there to share and document the love of a growing family is definitely top of my list!

And.... to be there for each newborn homecoming is simply Ahhh-mazing!!! I can still remember the excitement when Caitlin emailed me that they were expecting baby #2- and now he's here!!!!

It is my pleasure to introduce baby Connor :)

He was such a little champ! He settled in and definitely communicated very clearly his sleeping and snuggling preferences. His features are so handsome and defined as a newborn- just like a little man already!

And, I hope you are ready for this cuteness!!! Connor's little monster nursery was so adorable!!!

I think we all squealed a little when Ryan brought out the little gator outfit- A true orange and blue fan from the beginning- GO GATORS!

I had loads of fun with big sis, Paige! While Connor took a couple of breaks we set up for her portraits with her new little brother. Miss Bertha looked on as Paige played and snacked on her Goldfish- oh, and I almost forgot to mention we enjoyed a quick spot of tea with Minnie and Mickie ;)

Connor and Paige did so well! We wrapped up the session with some lifestyle family portraits. I am just over the moon with how sweet the images turned out and is such a testimony to the beauty and simple pleasures of living life within each moment. They are only this little once- and there's sooooo much to cherish!

This last one if for all the Gator fans- this is 100% all Connor- no baby posing necessary ;)

Merry Christmas {The Tanner Family}

It was the weekend before Thanksgiving and I could not have asked for a more beautiful morning or a more genuinely sweet family to work with- both of which when combined results in some amazing images and memories!!!


Just one more thing to be thankful for ;)



It's always fun to step back and just let a family be together- play with the kids and just be silly.


Sometimes those moments are so precious and are the ones that will be cherished the most ;)



The kids really loved when it was Mom and Dad's turn to get their picture taken- they were my little sidekicks and telling Dad to smile big, bigger, BIGGER!!! 



There were lots and LOTS of hugs and snuggles to go around- just how good times with the family should be!

The Wright Family

This session is very, VERY special and will always have a place in my heart. Kristina and her family are such an inspiration in every way- Brace yourself, this will be a looooooong post- so sit back, grab a drink and a snuggly blanket and get comfortable :)



Kristina is one of those walking miracles that I count myself so lucky to have touched my life. She is one more example of God’s hand in working for His glory. I can remember it like it was yesterday, A simple phone call to my sister-in-law led to such an unexpected blessing! When Shay shared Kristina’s story with me, we were both crying with one another. Shay wanted to book a session for them as a surprise, I told her I would be thrilled but insisted it must be a gift, no payment was necessary.  I believe in my heart that God blessed me with a passion and talent for photography and I will always pay that forward in using my gifts to bless others.

I was totally blown away with Kristina’s story and so in awe of how God chose to work. When I was little and first learning about Jesus and God, I was so enthralled with the miracles that Jesus preformed. Growing up I always wondered why I could not see a blind man healed, the deathly sick reformed with just a touch of His robe- I was honestly a little jealous of the disciples for getting all that first hand experience. But, then Jesus carried us through this past year with everything that happened with Adam, his surgery and his ongoing recovery. Adam is my own miracle and now so soon after to hear of such another great work that God has done with Kristina, I was just over the moon!!!

So, at this point you may be thinking- well, what in the world was going on….details PLEASE!!! In short, it was another fabulous miracle that only our God can coordinate and I truly am so thankful to have shared just a small part of Kristina’s amazing summer when I had the honor of photographing their family on our visit to Arkansas. But, of course there’s much more to the story…

In late 2010, Kristina was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of primary vaginal cancer, called Vaginal Adenocarcinoma. After over 15 gynecology oncologists reviewed her case initial treatment plans were begun January of 2011. Thus began the long list of surgeries, chemotherapy, external beam radiation and internal radiation. All of which are grueling and exhausting for any person, but Kristina is also a wife and mother so I can only imagine how the family as a whole was mentally and physically exhausted. Yet, through it all she remained faithful and positive.

Check ups continued every 3 months and to her and her doctor’s delight for the remainder of 2011, Kristina was deemed cancer free! However, in February of 2012 the test results showed abnormal glandular cells once again. After meeting with the tumor board the doctors believed Kristina's only cure to be a Total Pelvic Exoneration. A procedure so seldom required, even a huge institution such as MD Anderson only performed 12 of these radical surgeries per year. As most of us would do, Kristina sought second opinions and dove into the research for any hope of other alternatives, finally though she had to chose to move forward with the radical and deformative surgery on June 5, 2012.

Ten hours from home, an estimated 2 weeks in ICU recovery and a month stay in Houston well in her future. Kristina started her day of surgery with 8 IVs, a tube in her neck for a blood transfusion, an epidural and full anesthetic. She was was completely prepped for surgery and had the best surgical team at MD Anderson had to offer at her side. All would have been a normal day in surgery for these doctors, but through her mother's unwavering encouragement, Kristina had one last special request. She asked for one last biopsy before the entire procedure was completely put into motion.

The doctor's deemed this very unnecessary, but ultimately agreed. Kristina knew that there were tons of people and family members fasting and praying for her, She knew that if God chose to, He could heal her. Her faith and peace of mind through this entire endeavor is so inspiring and a humbling reminder that we rest completely in His loving hands.

Amazingly, the small biopsy of the sample came back negative for cancer. When the pathologist couldn't find traces of cancer, the surgeon took a larger biopsy. Still, no cancer. The surgeon then did a full upper vaginectomy removing a larger amount of tissue and glands knowing there had been cancer there on prior biopsies. AND Still no invasive cancer!!!

After working relentlessly for 5 hours, calling in the head of pathology to assist, the rest of the surgery was completely aborted!!! Kristina received her miracle from God and got to spend an unexpected summer at home with her husband and children.

 They all could not have been more excited and thankful in every way imaginable. Billy and the kids reminded me so much of the strength of our family that not to long ago rallied around Adam for his surgery. WOW, what a BLESSING this family was to ours- God is so, so, SO good and I am so thankful for each and every little and BIG miracle that He shares with me daily!

So, now you know why Kristina and her family are so VERY special to me and what these images really represent! I can't help but smile every time I look at these images of this precious family :)


This family session was SOOOO much more than preserving the family and kids at this stage in their lives- it was a C E L E B R A T I O N of life, it's many blessings...


...the simple things like spending time together, laughing, hugging and just being ALIVE with JOY in our hearts!!!

Holiday Sneek Peak + More {The Stanford Family}

Warning: Much more than a sneak peek- a very personal note to a very special family...

The Stanford's are among my favorite clients for many reasons (with the top being that they are family of course- ha!) But beyond that I love the trust and confidence my big sister places in me every year for her family Christmas Cards. Not only is she one of my strongest encouragers but she's also one of the most frank and "tell it like it is" type of person I know (she gets that from Mom). If it's not good, she tells you (without sugar coating it...like me, ha!). If she tells you it's good, you know you have really accomplished something fantastic...but if she tells you it's great then remind yourself to breathe because that is one heck of a compliment ;)

From the time I was little she has always set an example of high standards, commitment and quality and never settles for anything less. She is quite possibly my biggest fan and knows she does not have to be, that's what I love about her! She along with many in my family and close friends are the reason I have pursued and have enjoyed success living my dream so when I have the chance to really thank them from the bottom of my heart, well I just have to scream it from the roof tops...THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Ok, now on to the real sneak peek and super fun stuff...
In the most fantastic and peaceful setting we did these pictures at her home on Lake Lanier (ahhhh, love it!). Surrounded by stone, winter forests and the glassy lake...sublime!

Riley, really doesn't need much of an introduction- I am sure by now he has already melted your heart with those big baby blues...
But don't let him fool you, he's a true big brother and keeps his sister Reese in check (and thanks to Riley, she's going to be one tough little girl!) This was one of my favorites because it really shows the sweet relationship they have (outside all the fights, but hey...who's counting- ha!)And I think this is the one that will grace the custom designed holiday card that we will slip out of the envelope this Christmas. April always does a fabulous job creating the classiest cards and I am always honored that they are graced with not only a beautiful image that I have taken but that they so perfectly represent the family that I love so much!

Summer is winding down as Fall starts to roll in and the boys have went back to school. Our whirlwind summer adventures are still fresh in my mind and each day we spend running here and there only reminds me more and more how quickly the time goes by.
This afternoon, instead of naps we let the boys stay up, play a little longer and headed out for some fun pics for the great grandparents (well, and for grandparents + mommy and daddy, too!)...

Hudson has always been more patient and absolutely adores his baby sister so naturally there's more of him playing with her and being a wonderful big brother. I can't help but feel that one day he is going to treasure these pictures with her even more than we do! Noah gets business done and then moves on to the next thing on his agenda- he makes me laugh (and cry-ha!). He is master of his own little world and I love and admire his spirit- but darned if that little guy does not just wear us out, pheeeeww!Here are a few more of my favorites and I know I say it all the time... but I really, really, really can not believe how fast they are growing. I am sooooo unbelievably blessed to have such a wonderful family and to do what I love- thank you all for sharing it with me :) XOXO!

Sneek Peak {Aidan}

Being a photographer has taught me a few things about life and one of the most important lessons is that little ones really do grow fast (waaaay too quickly!)I have been very fortunate to be a part of very special moments with families from weddings, newborns, growing toddlers and high school seniors and the conversation with the parents is always the same...where does the time go?
I have to say that I feel that way when I see how big Aidan is now and they way he is running all over the place. We had fun chasing him, playing with bubbles, and oh the smiles and giggles really came out with Mommy and Daddy :)
I love this next one! After we had chased him most of the morning he went and sat on the steps all by himself as if to say..."oh no, I am not done yet!"It has been a pleasure watching him grow and I am so unbelievably thankful for clients and friends like Regina and Robert! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your family!
