Stop Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and all of us at some point in our lives have been touched by this devistating disease (and if you have not yet, the odds are overwhelming that you will be in the future).

I always love to be able to give back, help out and pay it forward and have been blessed to be involved with some fantastic events this year specifically taking aim at finding a cure for breast cancer. Today, we have the opportunity to come together as a community of photographers to contribute in our own way in helping bring an end to this fight. My wonderful friend Lydia Shannon followed her heart for making a difference and has created the online auction f/stop breast cancer with a goal to contribute over $10,000 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Photographers and Businesses of all levels within our industry have donated products and services to be sold to the highest bidder! The auction starts today and runs through October 19th.

Everything from portrait sessions and mentoring to unique products and services are available. Please share the link and check out the items up for bid, if you see something that you were looking to purchase please consider purchasing it through the auction and bid high!
If you are in the Jacksonville area, I have donated a crash course on shooting in Manual...for locals this will be fun, informative and sure to build your confidence in capturing the special moments whether you are a budding professional or simply have a love of photography :)
Happy Bidding! Click here to Bid :)

Micheli's New Dress

Today I was inspired by my sweet friend Camille and my wonderful mom and here's the results!

Camille (aka the world's most fabulous fairy Godmother- yes, there is a title and she won...hands down) brought back this adorable little dress for Micheli from her recent trip to Honduras. I love the vintage feel of it and it fits her perfectly!It was the ideal first pairing for the old wicker rocking chair my mom ("Grami") insisted that I just "had to have" (ha!) I guess this is the part where I say the words every mother wants to hear..."You were right, mom!" I do love the wicker rocker and am glad you stayed on me about getting it (love you!)

This was Micheli's first encounter with wicker and she really enjoyed exploring it- these were just too cute to leave out so I wanted to share...
I really love how everything turned out and look forward to much more to come with our sweet baby girl and the lil' rocking chair...and I think Micheli kinda likes it too :)

Featured {PWC Board Member}

From the first time I attended the Professional Women's Council (PWC) meeting I knew it was the perfect organization for me! Not only was I surrounded by professional women (and men) who where leaders in their industries but everywhere I turned was encouragement, support and friendships that did not just care about me they cared about my business (as well as each other's).

Additionally, the PWC is so committed to community involvement and every project holds a dear place in my heart! The value that the PWC has added to my life and business (as well as all it's members) is that above all else they are a partner in my growth and success both personally and professionally. They are such a strong network held together by growing with and along side one another.

I am so proud to be a board member and give back in service and support of what I am so blessed to be a part of!

Lifestyle Session: Judy {Headshots with Personality}

Though any professional can find a reason to update their headshots...sometimes just because is just as good, too!Judy did have a need and a plan for something fun, fresh and that reflected her personality. She is updating her website, business cards and social media profiles.

She is a bundle of energy that is just exploding at every turn (...and even that is an understatement). In between the fits of laughter, silly faces, dancing and (I think there may have been kartwheels...ummm maybe not?) We captured some great ones that show outer as well as inner beauty.

These are some of our favorites...enjoy :)
