LA Teaser :)

As I sit here on layover (for 2 hours) in Atlanta my mind is filled with so many great lessons and memories of the past 2 days! Yes, it was a whirlwind trip that I almost didn't make- I would do it ALL over again!!! Not only did I meet some wonderful people that I am so blessed to call friends but I learned so much about myself and God’s plan for me and that made it worth every penny and lugging my carry on baggage (no wheels) throughout the Atlanta airport and lack of sleep!

There were many reasons why I wanted to make the trip out to LA. Among the many was to learn more about the SMUG groups (SmugMug User Groups) and to meet fellow photographers on the West Coast. However, the main reason that I decided to was simply the peace of mind that God gave me about the decision and how simple it was for everything to fall into place. I spent a lot of time praying and talking to Adam about the trip and finally just had that ah- ha, worry free feeling…just go!

Believe it or not, it was a BIG decision for me to go by myself. I love to travel but I am so used to having friends and family along for the adventure, so this was a really big deal for me to not only go on my own but to rent a car and be THE tour guide. I was a little nervous about driving in LA because I tend to be a pretty conservative driver and I know how fast paced the city is (I have been there many times, just non of which I had to drive anywhere). There’s actually a really funny story about the rental car- but I’ll save that for another time. In the end, I kept up with the locals, drove along the coast and even parallel parked… and I LOVED every minute of it!
